Daniel Picot

Born in Saint-Etienne, France, 19 October, 1942. Technical studies and training courses at the Ecole des Beaux Arts of this city.
1962-64 Studied industrial design at the Ecole des Arts Appliqués in Paris.
1964, Raymond Loewy prize in 1964. Work placement with the sculptor André Bloc in Meudon.

Meetings and conversations with his class patron Gabriel Voisin in Tournus.
Has worked in Germany since 1970, industrial products, furniture, vehicles etc...

Graphic design, posters and medals for automobile events, grapgic conceptions of hot-air balloons (Chemie-Verbände Banden-Württemberg).
Comic strips on industrial design and regional themes in the local press.

Preferred media: watercolor, pastels and pencil drawing.

Themes:
The Le Mans 24-Hours race since its inception in 1923. The anecdotes, facts, and cars, as well as the atmosphere, the colors and the ambience represented with historical fidelity.
